On July 1, 2021, the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering will fill five leadership roles at the college: associate dean for graduate research and education, associate dean of academic personnel and three department chairs.
Nael Abu-Ghazaleh, professor of computer science and electrical and computer engineering and chair of the computer engineering program, has been awarded UC Riverside’s Doctoral Dissertation Faculty Award, for excellent mentorship and support of graduate students.
Vagelis Papalexakis, an assistant professor of computer science, has been awarded BCOE's Distinguished Teaching Award, an annual distinction is given each year to faculty members for excellence in teaching at the college.
